Ahhh! What a treat it was to wake up to new posts from some of you — all about your little quirks. I’m so glad to know I’m not alone. ;)
Now…this week, we’re going to put our fiction hats on and dream a little bit.
But first? A little biz:
No Sprint This Week
With Labor Day upon us this coming weekend, I won’t be on Zoom this Friyay, but I encourage you to set your own time for at least 10 minutes this week. It’s incredible what happens in that short stretch — especially when a timer is set.
Our call is todaaaay!
We’ll meet from 9-11 a.m. MDT in my Zoom Room. If you didn’t receive the calendar invite, let me know! (Note: These calls are for paid members, but if you ever want to try one, just say the word!)
Meeting ID: 425 166 5727
Passcode: speak
Monthly Prizes
I haven’t heard a peep about this! Any thoughts? Eh? Eh?
Let’s talk prizes. As most of you know, every month, those who made the prompt quota go into a drawing for a prize. But I’m starting to wonder…are they enticing? Or do we need better ones? Or more choices?
I’d love your thoughts! What would you be excited to win (or experience)? Hit reply and tell me.
OK…
Here’s this week’s ditty:
✒️ In My Next Life ✒️
Imagine yourself reborn into a whole new story
Step 1: Grab your laptop or a notebook.
Step 2: Set a timer for 10 minutes.
Step 3: Ask yourself: If I had another life, who (or what) would I be?
Maybe you’d be:
A soapmaker in Tuscany with lavender always under your nails
A dog with zero responsibilities and a yard full of sunbeams
A backup singer in a Stevie Nicks cover band, twirling in velvet every night
Or maybe your “next life” is something smaller and sillier:
A barista who only serves iced lattes
A well-loved houseplant
A beekeeper who names all the bees
Let yourself dream and play. Tell us where you live, what you wear, what fills your days with joy. Don’t worry if it’s fiction, fantasy, or half-nonsense. That’s the fun of it.
Step 4: Share in the Facebook group.
Option 2: Take your own adventure
As always, if something else is tugging at you, lean into THAT.
Have fun, good luck, and holler if you get stuck,
Brit
